Where additional terms apply to a product or service, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate them before purchase. Nothing in these terms overrides rights available under applicable Indian consumer protection laws.

3. Eligibility to Use Our Services
Visitors may browse publicly available content without an account. To place orders, you must be legally capable of contracting under applicable Indian law; customers under 18 should purchase through a parent or legal guardian. By ordering, you confirm that:

5. Product Listings and Book Information
Listings may include title, subtitle, author/editor, publisher, language, edition, format, ISBN, page count, description, cover image, price, discounts, stock, and return eligibility.
Some information is supplied by authors, publishers, or distributors. Although we take reasonable care, minor variations may occur between promotional images and the physical book (e.g., a publisher's updated cover). If the product materially differs from the agreed description or edition, customers may request a resolution under our applicable policies and consumer protection laws.

6. Book Authenticity and Quality
Pustakdham aims to offer genuine books sourced through legitimate publishing and distribution channels; we do not knowingly offer counterfeit editions. If you suspect a book is counterfeit, materially defective, incorrectly printed, or different from what you ordered, contact our support team — we will review and act where necessary. Book condition, format, edition, and other material details are disclosed before purchase.

7. Product Prices and Taxes
Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change due to publisher revisions, supplier costs, promotions, inventory updates, tax changes, or correction of genuine listing errors.
The product page or checkout displays the selling price, discounts, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other fees — the final payable amount is presented before order confirmation. If a material pricing error is discovered, we will communicate the issue and options; any cancellation, adjustment, or refund follows applicable law and the terms agreed at purchase.

8. Placing an Order
A typical order involves selecting books, adding them to the cart, reviewing titles/editions/quantities/prices, entering accurate delivery details, selecting a payment method, reviewing shipping and the final amount, and confirming.
An order confirmation (email, SMS, WhatsApp, or another channel) acknowledges receipt; an order is accepted for fulfillment when Pustakdham confirms acceptance through the order status or communication process. If a product is unavailable or an order cannot be fulfilled, we will communicate the issue and an appropriate resolution.

9. Payment Methods
Depending on availability: UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, supported digital payment services, and Cash on Delivery. Transactions are processed through authorized third-party providers.
Use only payment instruments you are legally authorized to use. We never require your UPI PIN, card PIN, OTP, or banking password. If payment fails or stays pending, the order may not be confirmed until verification completes. If your account is debited but the order isn't confirmed, contact support with the transaction reference.

10. Cash on Delivery
COD may be available for selected products, order values, and locations, subject to courier serviceability and order conditions. COD customers agree to:
- Provide accurate delivery information.
- Remain reachable on the registered contact number.
- Arrange payment of the confirmed amount upon delivery.
- Cooperate with reasonable delivery procedures.
COD handling charges, if any, are disclosed before confirmation. Repeated fraudulent or abusive COD activity may result in verification measures or restrictions, subject to applicable law.

11. Order Processing and Availability
Processing includes inventory verification, payment confirmation, packing, and courier handover. Some books need extra time due to stock, publisher sourcing, or special editions.
If an ordered book becomes unavailable, we may contact you about:
- An updated fulfillment timeline.
- A mutually agreed alternative edition.
- Cancellation of the affected item with an applicable refund.
We will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

12. Shipping and Delivery
We deliver to eligible locations across India, subject to courier availability. Estimates are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated. 13. Order Cancellation
Eligible orders may be cancelled before dispatch; once shipped, standard cancellation is no longer possible. Approved prepaid cancellations are refunded per the applicable payment method. If Pustakdham cancels an order it cannot fulfill, we refund the amount paid for the cancelled items. See our Cancellation Policy.

14. Returns, Replacements, and Refunds
If you receive a damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete order, you may qualify for a return, replacement, or refund — generally within 7 days of delivery, subject to the issue, disclosed return conditions, book condition, and statutory rights. Restrictions on discretionary returns do not remove remedies for defective or misdescribed products. See our Return, Replacement & Refund Policy.

15. Refund Processing
Approved refunds go to the original payment method wherever technically possible; COD refunds may be issued to a verified bank account or another agreed method. Timing depends on the payment gateway and banking network. Contact us if an approved refund hasn't arrived within the communicated timeframe.

16. Promotional Offers and Discount Codes
Promotions may carry conditions such as minimum order values, eligible products, validity periods, stock limits, usage caps, and combination restrictions — disclosed with each offer. Discounts can't be converted to cash unless stated.
Partial returns or cancellations may trigger recalculation of promotional benefits per the disclosed terms. We may reject fraudulent coupon use where legally permitted.

Reviews must be genuine, relevant, and respectful. You must not publish content that is:
- Knowingly false, misleading, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory.

We may moderate reviews to maintain platform integrity — genuine negative feedback is not suppressed solely for expressing dissatisfaction. Review opinions belong to their contributors, not Pustakdham.

Pustakdham's design, branding, logos, and original content are protected by IP law; book covers, titles, and publisher materials remain their owners' property.
Without permission, you must not:
- Reproduce protected content for unauthorized commercial purposes.
- Copy or misuse Pustakdham branding.
- Distribute copyrighted books unlawfully.
- Create deceptive websites impersonating Pustakdham.

19. Prohibited Activities
- Unauthorized access to customer or admin accounts.
- Bypassing website security or introducing malicious software.
- Using stolen or unauthorized payment information.

- Manipulating ratings or reviews.
- Impersonating another customer or organization.
- Unlawful automated data extraction.
- Interfering with checkout or payment systems.
- Using the website for illegal activities.
We may investigate violations and take proportionate action, including account restrictions or reporting unlawful conduct.

Independent sites operate under their own terms and privacy practices; Pustakdham doesn't control them, but using a third-party provider does not remove obligations for which we remain legally responsible.

22. Website Availability and Technical Issues
Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, hosting issues, payment gateway disruptions, network failures, security incidents, or technical difficulties.
We may restrict functionality where reasonably necessary to protect the platform. Interruptions do not eliminate our obligations regarding confirmed orders, collected payments, refunds, or consumer rights.

23. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Books may contain opinions and interpretations of independent authors and publishers — they do not necessarily reflect Pustakdham's views. To the extent permitted by law, Pustakdham is not responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control or a customer's unlawful conduct.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful — in particular, remedies for defective products, incorrect descriptions, non-delivery, fraud, or unfair trade practices remain.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact support first so disputes can be reviewed and a reasonable resolution attempted. Subject to mandatory jurisdiction and consumer protection requirements, competent courts in Maharashtra may have jurisdiction — this does not restrict your right to approach an appropriate consumer commission, regulatory body, or court under Indian law.

We may revise these terms for business, functionality, or legal changes. Updated terms are published with a revised effective date; material changes won't retrospectively remove acquired rights, and notice or fresh agreement will be sought where legally required.
